OPPO is a Chinese consumer electronics and mobile communications company headquartered in China. A leading manufacturer of smartphones, OPPO was the top smartphone brand in China in 2019 and was ranted No.5 worldwide.

THE BREIF: Create a global launch strategy for the OPPO Compass, a new flagship smartphone model featuring a borderless design. Other specifications included an ultra-wide screen, waterproof body, and an advanced camera with wide angle lens.

Our Approach

LIVE BILLBOARDS

To further emphasise the OPPO compass's Live Wide message, portals are set up in hight footfall locations that give passersby windows to other countries around the world. These portals stream live feeds directly from an OPPO COMPASS phone to highlight camera capabilities. Within each portal, a destination will be featured for 12 hours before changing to another live feed of a whole new experience our audience have yet to discover.

POP-UP STORES

Pop-up stores in priority markets will be held to encourage product trials of the OPPO COMPASS with our target audience. Inside the pop-up store, we'll showcase videos/photos captured on the new OPPO COMPASS e.g night safari shots for NIGHT MODE and underwater shots for Waterproof capability.
